SEA SHIPMENTS

Sea shipments with the USA are controlled by CFR 49. More typically, sea shipments are international in nature and are additionally controlled by the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). These regulations list the packing, marking/labeling, documentation, and shipping limitations that are of interest to shippers; and also the container and stowage requirements of interest to carriers.
